Paypal Integration

Got a landing page and need a payment gateway and a checkout button? Search no more, use Paypal. I think that PayPal is one of the best payment gateway services out there for Internet Marketing Newbies. It is easy and hassle free.

Paypal makes it so easy for any web master to use using their 4 step Paypal Express Checkout integration model that I think anyone with basic computer skills can use them in a jiffy.

I have been using Paypal for my streetwear portal SkinnyMunster for years and so far there has not been much problem with integration and using them. Of course I wouldnt say the same though for chargebacks. That is a different story altogether.

Cubestat Valuation Tool

I discovered this website that allows you to find the value of your site. It works so simply. Just type in your site’s url and there you have it, some pretty cool stats of your site. It shows an approximate value of your site, its daily page views and even its daily ads revenue.

On top of that, it also shows a slew of data about the site that you are researching on.

Head down to CubeStat and key in a site that you own. You might just be surprised at what you see.

Common Stats

If you like getting good content through reading articles from websites, I think you will like content that comes not only in the form of a video but which uses paper and simple cartoon drawings to send out a message.

The videos created by a husband and wife team, Lee and Sachi Lefever at their site CommonCraft never fails to impress me and also 12 000 over of their feed subscribers.

Head down to their site and enrich yourself with some cool effects you can achieve with a video and a lil bit of common sense.

Blogger

Some people tell me that you need a lot of experience blogging online before you can actually make any real money blogging. I thought that was true too but not when I found a blog belonging to this 13 year old teenager.

He is just 13 years old but has a sizable rss subscribers to boot. Welcome to the world of Carlocab, the teenage blogger whom is having a heck of a time blogging and creating cool waves in the cyberworld.

Can you just imagine what this guy would be in another 10 years time? I would say that he would definitely be ahead of his peers who are not doing the things that he is doing.

He is currently having a contest with Alvin Phang from gathersuccess. The challenge is whom between them can get the most RSS subscriptions within a month.

Alvin has about 800 plus subscribers at the moment and Carlo has more than 2000 people in his stable.

I would definitely want to know who between them wins the contest and I am not actually going to say who I am supporting as I don’t see why I should support one over the other except the fact that I have met Alvin before and he is one great guy with enough zest and energy to turn any situation around.

I wish the best to both bloggers and may the better blogger or in this case RSS collector wins!

conversion model

You might think that a satisfied customer is a good customer and that it would lead to brand loyalty. I thought so too and was I surprised when I found out that there is no strong corelation between the two.

In fact, the popular belief that a satisfied customer is going to be a recurring customer is all hogwash as far as studies have managed to uncover.

They found out that customer committment is more important than satidsfaction. In other words, satisfied customers would often buy other products from other brands unless they are committed to your brand and have had a high level of engagement and involvement with your brand.

I would love to ponder on the question of getting people to be more involved in order to get their committment but I feel that before we go into that, we need to understand the difference between satisfaction and commitment. It is a matter that concerns the consumer’s psychology and by understanding these processes, it can better help us understand how to serve the customer better and one which leads to better customer loyalty and committment.

Head down to Conversion Model and get yourself some powerful knowledge and information that could make the right kind of difference to your business.

Community Toolbar

If you are thinking about getting something for your community so that they would never forget you as they go along surfing on the internet, then you might want to consider getting yourself a toolbar that is customised to your internet business.

I am no talking about you paying thousands of dollars to get this fantastic brand building tool. I am also not talking about you getting a programmer or a coder to code you a toolbar that you can use with your site.

What I am reffering to is something that can offer so much with so little on your end. In other words, what you need to do is not to dish out some cash for this tool. You just need to use it. Yaah, thats all, use this tool and make your community happy using it. Get brand prominence and even make sthem happy that you are offering them this toolbar.

Wait no longer. Head down to Conduit and have some fun tailor making your own personalised toolbar.

I would have charged for this if I were them.

Analytics

If you would want to know where your visitors click when they arrive on your site, I would recommend that you go to crazyegg. This site allows you to create tests to figure out what your visitors are doing on your website.

You will be able to see through an image which acts like a heat map, the exact locations that your visitors love to click on.

Data without action means to nothing. I suggest that you actually tweak your data based on the information that you have gleaned from crazyegg.

Place a banner of an affiliate that converts the most on the area that gets you the most click. I am sure if the sales copy and the product is a great product and you know that there are tons of people that might benefit from that product, you might just make some good commissions from yourself.

So, I suggest that you wait no more and head to this site that I recommend.

You might just have made the best decision of your internet marketing life!

Scarcity in marketing

I have been going through some internet marketing forums lately and read some discussions about internet gurus using the scarcity marketing technique to get lots of buyers for their products. Some of them are Rich Scefren, Eben Pagan and most recently, Frank Kern.

What is “Scarcity” you might ask?

Scarcity in my opinion is an emotion that exist in a human being. It is an emotion that is related closely to the feeling of “losing something of value”. All human beings hate the feeling of losing something of value. This feeling can be felt also when one loses a loved one. It is a hurting feeling that makes you want to get rid of it. So to the marketers advantage, getting rid of that pinching feeling is through paying out some cash to get the product that have gotten them into a “Heightened state“.

This feeling becomes more intense when you perceived the thing that you have lost to be of a high value.

Marketers know this. They first need to so call “hype up” their products with compelling copywrite that evoke feelings and perception on that particular product that they are selling as being of a high value.

Hence, scarcity as a marketing technique is only able to work as it is suppose to only when the other marketing strategies have been put in place. That includes having a solid product being created first, followed by a beautiful designed graphic template, great testimonials from people who have trust in you and of course much better if they themselves are people who are well known and well regarded. Great copywrite is also an important element as without the right kind of copywrite, it is difficult to stir anyone to greater buying emotions.

As the feeling of “Perceived Value” increases, what you have to do next if you are a marketer is set out planning to use the Scarcity marketing technique.

These are a few way you can set about utilising the scarcity technique:

1. State to the potential buyer that the product is time sensitive, meaning that the product will no longer be sold after a certain amount of time, maybe after 48 hours or so.

2. State in the landing page the fact that there only limited amounts of your product available and after these have finished selling, no more will be produced. This is the limited edition technique often used in the selling of t-shirts and Nike shoes. It makes the product look very scarce and the pinching feeling is felt more when the product is perceived to be of a high value and is prized by the community.

3. Put a script that show how many people have bought your product thus far. This will tell your potential client that if there are others buying the product, they have nothing to lose in buying the product too. Even if they had made the mistake, they are others in the same boat and therefore the pain would be decreased tremendously. This is highly related to the herd mentality actually and most people do succumb to this and buy a particular product based on others having bought it too.

4. Put a script to show how much time is left for the potential customer to buy the product until the time runs up and the product will no longer be offered.

Remember, yo have to be true to yourself and your customers that if youhad promised to only sell 100 seats to a seminar or 100 products or whatever number you choose to sell, make sure you STICK to it.

If not, people are going to know that you have just called a bluff and that would affect your credibility factor. Its not going to be worth it in the long run.

Also, this strategy seems to be more effective if you are selling a coaching or mentoring program. Obviously, people know that there is only a small number of people that you can take in order to coach effectively.

I hope that you have benefited from this post on utilising the scarcity marketing technique in your business. Use a myriad of techniques and use for a greater effect by being truthful to yourself and your customers.

Cheers!
